Famous cooks and their mums

For the March 2015 issue of Waitrose Kitchen magazine, I interviewed Jose Pizarro, Ken Hom, Shelina Permalloo, Jeremy Lee and Anissa Helou about the culinary inheritance they learned from their mums. Each of these famous cooks has a rich cultural background they have been able to mine for their subsequent careers. It was an absolute pleasure to learn from them all.
